Naam Thai is a stylish, design-y Thai bright spot in Jianguo's Lu otherwise deserted Loft project. Regardless, it dishes up faithful and refined versions of Thai classics in a mod environment, with a small but interesting wine list -- no surprise, really, as Naam Thai is the personal project of Walter Zahner, longtime manager of Xintiandi's sleek T8.

We ordered a chicken satay...it was NOT cooked, still pink. we complained about it...and saw a sour face, saying, "What do you want me to do?" ...uhhh..how about apologizing and bringing the chef and talking to us and....

anyway, the food was average at best, service??? has a lot of room for growth.

not sure if there will be a next time.

good food is very easy to get, service, personal contact is what brings the customers back.

I do wish you a successful business, after all, it's the expo.

The first thing I noticed about the restaurant is that they sacrifice a lot of place for the decoration and the table set up. It makes an easy atmoshpere and you do not have to worry about eating tighten to the neighbours table or a wall. I specially liked the outdoor area. The restaurand is a bit hidden and there are not a lot of Skyscrapers on the sourroundings to that I am just looking forward to a sunny day to be sitting outside as its quiet and very sunny.

I was there with three friends and we shared a lot of different dishes. We all liked the food. I liked the fine and good spiced way and I was very happy because It was just what I needed after being a month in Shanghai and eating overcooked Chinese food (I like chinese food don't get me wrong) or meat/fishbased Western style kitchen wich I just already know too well.

The place is very nice for having a good chat with some friends and enjoy Thai food in a location that let's you escape from the rush of a big city like Shanghai.
The price was fair and the service was friendly and uncomplicated. I think that the place is perfect to escape from the busy Shanghai and having some fun with friends.
