Visited Porta Nova to try their Italian menu but unfortunately was disappointed from the start: Our drinks (Mojito and Daiquiri, well not too Italian?) contained no fresh ingredients just ready mixtures (actually the mint leaves were replaced by mint liquor). Antipasti platter was a collection of vacuum packed cold cuts served on lettuce and the risotto I chose for main course was more rice pudding than anything else (seafood meant 3 prawns and a single mussle). My partners pizza was slightly better but still far away from anything you might call Italian. For 460 RMB you can certainly get better food in Shanghai
