I went back to bistrow after almost a year. I used to eat very good food there and service was great. What a huge disappointment now!!! The salad come quite fast ( well....it is a salad) then everything stopped. Two waitress were talking to each other in front of the door and never noticed i was waiving my hands like crazy. The manager ( i suppose she was the manager since she had a different uniform) spent 40 minutes (!!!!!) talking to a foreigner at the bar side. She was giving her back to the dining room and never turned until this old guy left. After a while finally one of the waitress noticed me and came to the table. I asked what had happened to our main courses and she left for checking. She came back saying that it was going to be ready in 5 minutes and in, exactly 5 minutes, she came back with two micro-vawed re-heated main courses. The chicken was dry, mashed potatoes were substituted with dry, semi-burned roasted potatoes. My fish was just super super hot ( hot for the spice and hot for coming out from micro-vawe). No taste at all. Rice was so dry that you could count every single grain.
I won't be back and it is a pity because i used to like this place and it is a shame that Wagas can not control this restaurant!!!

Such a sad sad day was my return visit to the Bistrow. From a great first encounter, to numerous flawed and uninspired dining experiences.
It's often the case that restaurants become lazy in their presentation and preparation of food as the years wear on, but it's sad to see it happen to a restaurant that is fairly new.
Very disappointed with the quality of my steak and selection of wine. There are much better places, for not that much more expensive.

Bistrow -- the upmarket Wagas -- is sophisticated and stylish for such a casual place, which makes it good for friendly lunch meetings or lunch dates. Unlike Wagas, they do lunch deals: a soup or salad, plus options like a tuna Nicoise wrap, steak and zucchini sandwich, roast pumpkun laffa wrap, eggplant moussaka, grilled chorizo penne, masala curry omelette, etc. 68rmb. Drinks extra. 11am-3pm.
