Editor's Description
The Otto expansion on Nanjing Lu is a cocktail bar/cafe compliment to their Italian restaurant on Fumin Lu. Head on down (or rather "up," because its on the fourth floor) if your looking for somewhere to get a glass of wine in that area of Nanjing Lu. Great service, a nice open atmosphere, lots of patio seating, and tasty snacks.

We were quite impressed by the hospitality that Francesco offered.Though we know the place for a short time,he always gives us a discount or something free. What I don`t think it`s perfect for business dinner is that there are events so frequently.Better go to their Fumin Lu restaurant instead.

Known from friends that they have Amore Terrace Party every week. However, I didn`t go on the right day. In my mind the new Otto was a good place for drinking instead of dining. In this case we didn`t expect too much when we were ordering food. To our surprise it turned out so appetizing! I ordered Penne served with Porcini, mushroom and sun dried tomato, simple dish I know, but it was so creamy and tasty. My friend`s dish was kinda roasted chicken. I tried a little bit, em... nice also. well cooked and juicy!
I love your new Otto! Keep going! :)

Otto's is just around the corner from my office, and I'm always on the lookout for good lunch alfresco dining options. It's relaxed, pretty and the food is just right for a quick business bite, or a girly catch-up, or if the BF is in the neighbourhood. I.e. ANY lunch requirement in the week. The outdoor seating is wonderful, and when it's a famous Shanghai sunny day, even better. I have to confess I haven't tried much on the menu, but to me it's about location, location, location. What I did try - sandwiches and iced tea, were just the right portions, and thoughtfully made and presented. Just from flipping through, I think the menu could be a little limited, but I'm sure that will change with time. I look forward to trying a cocktail in the evening one of these days. Thumbs up for filling a gap in the lunch scene in this area, though. All up, lovely surprise and reasonable prices.
