On the left bank of Suzhou Creek, in a rickety wooden built 1937, Image Tunnel has been screening Shanghai-based shorts since March 2007. Every Saturday wood benches are crowed with locals who've come to snatch a bit of local culture. Films are shown with English subtitles and the director is always present for discussion afterward. A monthly salon commenced in 2008 where creatives can bring poetry, film or any other form of art.
