Shanghai's newest art district has more than 30 galleries spread out over six floors of warehouse space. This district is at least a 35 minute cab ride from the city center. One curator suggested that Shanghai is trying to emulate Beijing's famous 798 art district, which is known for being inconveniently located. The abstract art here is of higher quality than most game in town, but other than that there is no real reason to make the trip.METRO
