Located in of of the favorite corner of Shanghai in the French Concession. What was formerly a Salsa bar has now been transformed into a smart mid-range contemporary French restaurant and cocktail lounge.

We had New Year's dinner here in a large party, which was my first time at this restaurant. The place was packed, but they accommodated our late request to add people to the reservation. The set menu was an excellent value, something like RMB 398 for 3 courses and all you can drink champagne. The food was excellent and the service was almost flawless, although they could have kept better track of who ordered what. I was impressed and will definitely come back here.

My girlfriend and I came here for Dinner last night for my birthday. I had met the manager before while at the lounge upstairs and contacted him to make our reservations. I must say that the manager went out of his way to make sure that our dining experience was as good as it could be.

First the food. Very typical French cusine done well, the onion soup was great as was the ratatouille side dish and cheesecake dessert. The portions were good and I was not really dissapointed in any of the dishes save perhaps their tomato gazpacho appetizer. The service was was also very good. Now this could have been a combination of the manager's attention to our party and the fact that it was not that busy being the weekday, but all the waiters were attentive and the food actually came out together and in the right order, something I had yet to experience in Shanghai. Drinks were decent and reasonably priced as well.

Only downside I would say was that the lighting in the restaraunt was a bit bright for a "date" location, it was a bit hot in the room and as such they had a few fans running which takes away from the overall ambiance. Despite these small issues I will be coming back to this place many more times for sure!

My friend booked a table for 15 of us on his birthday and this is the first time I visited this restaurant.

We had 3 courses set menu for rmb 180 each person. I take salmon tartar for the starter, the taste is amazing, very fresh and tasty; the main course, I ordered a beef steak. The steak is juicy and the meat is just tender, the whole dish is well cooked and presented; The chocolate mousse as desert is a perfect ending of the dinner, smoothie feeling and the rich taste of chcolate stays in my mouth. I have to say, this restaurant is the best value for the money in Shanghai. The service is also not bad, the food is served quickly and the french manager is friendly and been quite attentive to us.

I will for sure come to taste other dishes in their menu and also enjoy the lovely terrace.

Agreed with the Maya 75's review. I'm french and this restaurant becomes my best Price/Quality reference of french food in Shanghai.
Everything tried was delicious from the "foie gras" to the mousse au chocolate. I would like to mention that my wife who is chinese also enjoyed her food. Only the service should improve, it is correct but not wonderful.

We visited recently on a Saturday night and were very disappointed. We arrived early as the pictures of the deck upstairs looked really nice and thought a drink first would be good. Unfortunately there was a DJ playing and frankly the music was so loud we couldnt talk, didnt order a drink and headed downstairs for dinner. Couldnt believe that the same music upstairs was being piped into the restaurant, again loud and totally unsuitable for a meal. We were waiting to complain when some other diners got in first so eventually turned off although you could still here it thumping thru the roof.
The meals would best be described as average and for the price could almost have gone to the Bund! The atmoshpere was pretty ordinary, not bad, just well average. The staff need a mention as even though I felt a bit inexperienced tried very hard to be helpful. Overall I think it cant decide if its a bar or restaurant and frankly didnt think much of either!
