Serious beer lovers in Shanghai won’t be disappointed with the serious beer selection at KaiBa: they’ve got an extensive bottle and draft list of over 65 imported Belgian and International favourites. Beers are served in proper glassware by a fully-trained bar staff educated in proper storage temperature and pouring techniques. Beers from five Trappist breweries. Great spot for discerning beer lovers or buddies looking for a proper pint. Away with your watery Tsingtao and Budweiser.

The setup is really nice but the place is just too small, you can't really enjoy your beer unless you have a table. I like that they use authentic glasses for each different kind of beer so thats great. I kindof wished the beer menu would be more extensive especially more beers on tap instead of in the bottle. This place is very lao wai friendly, hopefully in the summer i can bike over there and they will have nice setup outdoors with seats. The cheese gouda bowl was good but it didn't really flow with my Chimay. Service is good and you can keep a tab, which is a first for me in shanghai. I would go back when its less packed and see if my mind has changed!

Small, cozy bar with a lot of beers..... belgians, germans, americans, .. and honest prices where everybody can enjoy a good beer, but not to much . can get very easely drunk... however they should have at least some coffee or sparkling water to hit the raod... Very happy about this bar because finally there are more and more patrons in this city who go's for quality rather then quantity. Sante!!
