We had heard many varying reviews of Zapata's and as such hadn't chosen to visit until last night, however when looking for somewhere to eat and seeing their Thursday offers as listed on Smart Shanghai (88RMB Fajitas, 25RMB Mojitos all night and free-flow Daiquiris for ladies from 6pm-9pm) we decided to give it a go. We proceeded to order 4 portions of Fajitas, Daiquiris for the ladies and Mojitos for the gents. The Fajitas came with a big portion of meat and vegetables, sufficient sauces (sour cream, guacamole and salsa as one would expect), fairly decent cheese and 3 tortillas, which added up to 3 very fat and very tasty fajitas. Plus each order came with a side plate of beans and rice which was a nice addition.

The cocktails were OK, definitely good for the offer price although they came in plastic glasses, but I don't think I would be ordering them at the full price of around 60RMB. Unfortunately the major down point of the evening was when we came to receive the bill, on which there were 4 Mojitos at full price and 4 Polomas also at 60RMB (obviously meant to be the 'free' Daiquiris). After a few attempts at explaining and their returning with 2 more altered bills we finally arrived at the correct bill, but were left feeling rather disappointed that the argument had been necessary. We were also at this point informed that the free-flow Daiquiris was an old offer which no longer applied, despite the fact that it still remains on their listing (they haven't removed it as of yet).

All in all, I would recommend Zapata's on an offer day (as long as the offer still applies!) and would maybe go for the Fajitas at the normal price but the cocktails were not worth 60RMB and if you do go for an offer, be sure to confirm it beforehand.
