Hung Liu Solo Exhibition

Chinese history has long been at the core of Hung Liu's work. This winter, Elisabeth de Brabant Art Center present an exhibition of the artist's oil paintings: inspired by historic Chinese photographs, she desires both “to preserve and destroy the image.” Washes and drops of various hues give the works an almost fluid quality, mirroring memories dissolving into history.
