Hong Kong's Chain of eateries, offers staple Cantonese dishes as well as a mixed bag of Italian, steak and other western dishes. The homemade fish balls are recommended, and there's a small Cantonese-style bakery at the entrance selling coconut pastries, egg tarts, and the like.

I went there last night with a co-worker of mine, who is a HK native. I had been to HK a dozen of times, and this place didn't remind me of the tsui wah that I knew. May be it needs to be localized? There are many chachanting in Shanghai, and I have to say only a handful of them make the mark, we both think tsui wah barely makes it. I can't say the food is bad, but for the price, I really think they could have done better, especially given the brand's reputation. My favorite is still xin wang by far. Sorry tsui wah, I can only give you a passing mark.

As one who is in love with eating in the traditional hong kong fast food type restaurants, I was ecstatic to find this popular restaurant brought into Shanghai from Hong Kong. Located at the A Mansion in just beside Cantine Agave and La Dolce Vita, this bright and busy restaurant serves the best cantonese fast food in the city.
First off, the decor is modern and clean, taking into consideration that this place has only been open for two months (since March). When first walking in, you will find a counter that offers cantonese style buns such as pineapple buns, chicken pies, cocktail buns, coconut cream buns...etc. These buns are priced between 4 - 6 RMB and are moderately priced considering a single bun can run you around 8 - 10 RMB at Bread Talk ( A chain offering chinese buns around the city).
I have been here twice already, and both times have been greeted with efficient service when entering and being seated. The menu is extensive, ranging from traditional cantonese bbq meats and western steak meals to congee and fried instant noodles. There are 10 must try dishes ( I have only tried 5) that are highly recommended.
1. Hong Kong Style Milk Tea: smooth and flavourful, definitely one of the better ones in the city. When ordering a cold one, they give enough ice to maintain the temperature of the beverage whereas they fail to do this at other places. This is a must since the summer days in Shanghai are often deadly.
2. Fish balls with Noodles in Soup: This is definitely a must-try. The fish balls and fish cakes are chewy and the flavour was great. "These are the best fish balls in the city" my dad said as he was slurping away on the noodles.
3. Plain Bun with Butter and Condensed Milk: This is definitely not just any typical bun. It is a bun that is plain as there is nothing in it, but it is crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. When topped with butter and condensed milk, it really does melt in your mouth!
4. The Hainan Chicken Rice: The chicken was not too oily and was moist when dipped into the accompanying ginger/green onion sauce. This dish comes with some pickled vegetables, light chicken soup, and a bowl of special rice that is cooked in chicken broth. This dish was loved by my mom who really likes chicken. She has said this was one of her favourites.
We also tried a variety of different dishes. The ox tongue curry curry was made with a heavy hand on coconut milk that was delicious when paired with the tender pieces of ox tongue and crisp roti (which can be added for 10 RMB). The bbq duck and bbq pork pairing was served in huge portions and was roasted well with good flavour while keeping the meat moist. The pineapple bun with butter is a staple in HK style fast food cuisine, and although different from the ones in Hong Kong, it was the best in the city. The crust was crispy while the butter melted in the middle of the bun that made is soft and creamy. Lastly, we tried the dessert that consisted of a meringue foam drizzled with chocolate sauce that sat on a bed of vanilla cream. This dessert really just disappeared in your mouth as the meringue is more like a foam. It was not a dessert that I liked particularly, but it was a light finish to the meal.
Overall, this restaurant is great in service as everything was served quickly and efficiently. Prices are average in comparison to Charme or any other restaurants of the same sort. Parking is located underground around the corner of the building.

Cantina Agave serves up basic mexican dishes such as tacos, what is impressive is the long list of Tequila and Frozen margaritas. It's small so and gets busy late at night.
