I recently had their Christmas set menu and it was a bit of a mixed bag. The fisherman's soup was a little too, um, fishy, and the roasted lamb main was rather fatty and tough. Those two lumps of coal were balanced by the luxury-car-with-a-giant-bow-on-top-like gifts of the Greek salad (huge chunk of delicious feta, generous portion of kalamata olives) and frozen Greek yogurt dessert (topped with truffled honey and pistachios). Seriously, eat like a sorority girl with poor impulse control and just get a salad and dessert.

OK so the Fat Olive is a well marketed brand in Shanghai hence our deciding to try it... It is possibly one of the WORST eating experiences in Shanghai!! The decor must have been purchased by a 5 year old, the bloody mary was just tomato juice and vodka which, in light of the fact that an Australian owns the brand, is pathetic. Overall this is the first time I have ever written a restaurant review. However, we felt compelled to burst the Fat Olive brand in Shanghai, as it's just a well polished t**d.
