Another concept from the rapidly diversifying Wagas group, La Strada is a simple, stylish pizzeria with thirteen thin-crust pizza varieties on the menu.

Everything is in the title...
I have been there yesterday with 2 friends.
The place look like his neighbor (mr willis, baker and spice) so not bad, i like to see the kitchen.
The music was.... Italian, so far normal for such kind of place.
The food:
We go for a cold cut platter and 2 pizza to share 4 season and ham / arugula pizza.
The platter was normal, you can easily find the same in a lot of place but here the platter is a little less than 100RMB and this is less easier.
The pizza... For me the best I tasted in SH, pizza marzzano and a cote is nice also but way TOO expensive.
A pizza is supposed to be something affordable guys!
The bill was about 340 with one bottle sparkling wine.
.... I will be back....
Here's what happens when you frequent a place that knows what it is good at, and sticks to that. You get awesome food, happy vibes from the staff, and you don't have an urge to ask for the 'more better'.
It's as straight forward as it can get; La Strada does pizza. No pooha with elaborate menu concoctions or desperate attempts to reinvent a wheel, none of that fusion BS. Pizza done good. It is not your fast food type, it is not your refrigerator kind, and I do know people that rated the pizza here as weak and skinny. For me it is hands-down the comfort food corner of Shanghai. I have inhaled pretty much every kind on offer, and I go back for more.
I'm not the only one to do so for that matter, and given the size of the place (think handful of tables) I do strike out on occasion. I'm not deterred or leak vinegar over it; I either wait or go back in a happy mood because I know my dopamine levels will get their fix once I bite down in my order. It is Anfu's little gem.
And no, I am not a wagas groupie. I do not like it because 'it is wagas' - in fact (for the record) other than Baker & Spice, La Strada is the best thing they have.

Great little pizza place to go with friends. The pizzas taste great, are good size for the price but the atmosphere is so-so - not as good as Bella Napoli when it comes to decor but don't let that stop you from trying this place out. The service is also good, but I'm sure that has something to do with it being a smaller restaurant - they have nowhere to hide...

Good Pizza but they have a horrible female asian manager there who often complain about their customers. I really feel sorry for their employees. She really make the customers unwelcome, and it wasn't to my believe until I saw her unacceptable behavi
