Situated in the middle of Xingfu Lu, Dada is a chilled out lounge/club space, catering to a younger Chinese and expat crowd in a comfortable, pretentious-free environment. It's like a really nice dive bar. Drinks are cheap, there's ample lounge seating, and music varies from night to night depending on whose playing, but expect dance floor friendly House and Electro on most nights.

The club is managed by a Shanghai-based independent promoter, so expect the DJ/music crowd lounging therein, sucking back the cheap drinks in a nice environment. They've deals on Vedett, cheap Tiger drafts, cheap mixes, and changing drink specials. There's no cover on most nights, although sometimes they have something special going on, so check the event listings for more information.

Jiǒng

Jiǒng, every Monday night, is a weekly event curated by ROM's Icenice and Downstate. In the spirit of our Amnesia nights, they're making Mondays cool again mellow music: trip hop, IDM, minimal, ambient, dubstep, and abstract beats.
