The decor of Lost Heave is by far the most memorable thing about going to this location. It is beautifully designed. The bathrooms are a little tood dark but other than that it is great. The food is really good too. And the complement of the design and the food makes it an overall great experience. If you like spicy food with rich complex flavors Yunnan food is definitely a must try. Bringing friends here that are visiting from overseas is perfect - the food is special and will stand out on their list of things they try, the decor is fun, and the location is close to the Bund. The price is not bad either works out to be about 0 RMB per person with one drink. During the day this makes a very nice business lunch location.

A Lost Heaven finally found!

A wonderful place that has the decor to impress and an exotic drink list in the lounge that keep guests entertained while waiting for dining service. This is a true western style hospitality that is genuinely rare in Shanghai.

Lobby service is polite and professional guiding my business dinner crowd to the 3rd floor lounge while my dinner table was being prepared for my reservation. The one little bump during my entertaining experience was the long wait at the lounge and the lack of communication between bar staff and dining room staff. Still, this is one of the rare places in this city that offers the lounge as a 'holding spot' , and the bar atmosphere is certainly better than waiting on the street while the table is being prepared.

It is a wonderful ambience with a 'wow' factor for any foreign visitor.. It truly highlights the East meets West that Shanghai has to offer. The bund location is also perfect for an after-dinner taxi rendezvous that showcases the beauty of the bund.

I was invited along to dinner at Lost Heaven on The Bund on Friday evening, with another nine pax. The service was absolutely dreadful, almost non-existent, in the end we took charge, wrote out the order for the overworked wait staff, and then waited, and waited for the food to arrive which came arse about face, in dribs and drabs with main courses coming before the starters, we lost count with the number of different servers, servicing(sic) the table.

The establishment is obviously very popular, and given the high table turnover the management really don’t seem to care whether service prevails or not. The food was mediocre to say the least, the experience, atmosphere and ambiance is so much better at their original Gao You Lu establishment. The Bund location is just a factory and licence to print money; they won’t be getting mine again though.

It made me balk.
I finally said
OK, Let's try
And when I did
I cannot deny
It is both
Exotic and Designed
Yunnan food
Made Refined
A place for dates
Or business too
Lost heaven is
A good choice for you.

Prose version: I was reluctant to go because of all the hype and tourists, but it was good food, not THAT crazy prices and in a cool place. I understand why they are popular...

Great food! great drinks !great venue! amazingly cool terrasse on the 4th floor! but you need to book in advance and come in advance, for the kitchen stops at 10pm!! a bit expensive but it worth it

Very nice bar at rooftop, original decoration, excellent cocktails and nice staff. A little bit expensive. I recommend it for a date or a drink with view friends.
