Amazing tasting pizze (small thin crust pizzas) and the cocktails are not too shabby either. We went there for brunch on a Sunday and the setting is a nice tranquile tucked away oasis only two blocks from Jin'an Temple. I am a pizza expert and this is definitely in the top 3 of best Margarita I've ever had. Nice ultra thin crust with fresh cherry tomatoes, fresh basil and fresh mozzarella. The taste is pure addiction!
Nice but small selection wine list and some innovative cocktails, nothing too fancy just a few selected all time favourites.

Been there twice. Once for christmas dinner and once for just dinner with friends.
The outside sitting was packed, we were still able to get a table for us, when i opened the menu, i couldnt understand anything except words like green, with, and. Menu is small and hard to understand. Well 30 mins later we decided on our order, 2 pizzas, 1 salad, 1 main course something with lamb. Well pizza was completely average for 90 rmb! Nothing special, a bit burned, lamb was pretty bad, and garden salad ia hard to screw up , so it was ok. The service is really slow and we couldnt figure out why, because the restaurants seemed to be getting emptier and the service got slower. After couple of drinks and a bill of 950 rmb, I was a bit dissapointed because we enjoyed so much coming there for christmas dinner, and this time was completely different. They really need to do something about the menu.

If your expecting a real dinner your out of luck. I was shocked! read some reviews and the menu looked excellent, I arrived: really nice spot - tucked away, seems like a hidden gem. Unfortunately, the food was mediocre, and the service bad. Bland, and not worth the trip, crab soup overcooked and too spicy (yet still somehow bland), roasted carrot salad: a good idea with mint and fennel seed - but poorly prepared, pizza: too many toppings, almost gooey, bland - needed salt (but a good crust). Too much chopped basil, I felt like I was in a cooking class from the 80's - NOT for Foodies!!

We had brunch at the Purple Onion and loved everything! They have a great outdoor area but book ahead cos i have a feeling its hard to get a spot when the sun shines. The decor inside is fabulous for winter but stifling dark and eery when its sunny...
The Pate with homemade Melba Toasts and homemade onion chutney was amazing, the pizza's are square, crispy and yummy and it was not too badly priced. I am looking forward to my next visit!
