I have been twice, drawn by the name, I went with many friends so we ordered much of the bar food, the chicken wings, two types, Korean or Very Hot both are good. The pulled pork sliders, good, the mini burgers good. The quesidilla good. Fairly typical bar food. The service was a let down but the beer was good. They do have a picture of the boxing cats on the wall. Overall a good bar experience.

Brewery- sounds too tempting not to try, especially coming from Germany. We managed to get a table outside ( after telling 3 different waiter to tell us whenever a table is available outside). We ordered their Royale burger, had different salads as well as the Quesadillas. As we asked in Chinese for salt, they brought us cigarettes. Ok gotta work on them tones . After waiting for the Quesedillas for 30 minutes we asked the staff if they were still coming. Told us they simply forgot. Happens. But when a friend asked if she could also get some bread ( which was more a cake shaped cornbread) the waitress replied: You didn't ask for it. Considering that they served us others bread without asking, this was simply rude. The food in general was decent, nothing special. Beer wise we tried different ones of their micro brewed beers. Good, but does not justify their overvalued price. So if you want to spend a chilled evening with friends and overpriced beer, Boxing Cat Brewery it is!

I went twice last week. I didn't want to go the second time, but had already committed.
Decor is fine - bar & grill.
Beers are good.
Food is terrible. The first visit, I had meatloaf with some type of creamed spinach and mashed potatoes. The meatloaf was ok - obviously reheated from some unknown manufacturing date. Mashed potatoes were awful and the consistency of toothpaste. I am not sure if they are mashing their own potatoes and reheating over and over again, or if they are using a mix. Either way, inedible. Spinach, inedible.
One friend got the pasta. Difficult to get a basic pasta wrong and he said it tasted ok. Another friend had the jumbalaya. Looked like a reheated mess. he said it was "ok."
It doesn't look like they cook any of the food. Everything looks like a microwaveable TV dinner, but it might be generous to say it tastes as good as a microwaveable TV dinner.
The second visit I had a burger, figuring that it would be hard to go to wrong. The burger is a C minus. Meat is over-seasoned in the way that hides what ground beef actually tastes like. Consistency of the meat is McDonalds sausage patty-like...not my style for a burger. The steak fries were good.
Service is slow and confused. If going for beers, the place is fine. The food is bad.

I won't be going back to the Boxing Cat. The food there not only tasted bad, but it also gave me a stomach ache for the entire day. The deep fried mac and cheese was not edible, as were the sweet potato balls. The burger tasted mediocre and not cheap. I can name dozens of similarly priced burgers in the city that are much better. The homemade beer was average, honestly I prefer almost any non-boxing cat beers. And the service was very slow.

Went to the boxing cat place last Sunday. Huge disappointment! Despite the implicit promise carried in its name, the Boxing Cat doesn't feature a single boxing cat! Not even regular cats (or boxing for that matter)! Needless to say I was feeling severely let down.
Their beer is however excellent. Makes up for the lack of fighting felines.
