Sunflour is a bakery and cafe selling a variety of breads and pastries for take-away or sit down service. Also on offer is a menu of sandwiches, salads, and a surprisingly good big English breakfast with all of the traditional accoutrements: bacon, sausage, eggs, beans and sourdough toast.

This was my first time eating at the Sunflour and let me tell you I was really looking forward to it. Many of my friends had mentioned a lot of good things about it.
I went with a couple of my friends today. Let me tell you that my expectations were set far too high.
My friends ordered the continental breakfast which was quite good and I had the organic eggs with parma ham. And when I say parma ham, I mean a very very thin, dry slice of parma ham on each egg (poached eggs were overcooked, not runny by the way). When I asked if I could have a little more (parma ham), the response I got was "this is our standard". Basically, the waiter told me to go somewhere unpleasant.
My friend then asked the manager why his bread was completely different than my other friend's bread (continental breakfast). He said "ooooooooo", left and never to be seen again.
Really not impressed with the service and was expecting so much more from the food.
The atmosphere is very lively which is fun to hang out with friends, but if you can't get the basics right then what's the point?
Hope they get their act together and improve soon.

I found this nice bakery while showing the nice french concession area to my italian parents who came in Shanghai for a visit. Due to the long walk they were looking for an homestyle break with a tasty, good looking cappuccino and a croissant nearby. "Difficult, we're on the other side of the world and i still haven't found a good cappuccino round here" i replied, but we decided to give it a try with SunFlour. NOW i know where to find a true italian cappuccino made-in-china! Strong enough, yet with a finely shook and delicate milk top. Very good! The big selection of homemade sweeties starts from 8 yuan and made we all droll... The environment is friendly, warm and smells of bread. A nice place for a smiling breakfast!

Instead of wasting your money at this extremely overpriced lousy place go to pines right beside it, on second floor where food/price is definitely more reasonable!

The service is awful!!!! It takes them forever to do anything...eg.making a cup of coffee takes at least 20mins and they ask about 4 times what you have ordered!!!
