Avoid this place. I ordered this on a Sunday night and the steak & onion quesadillas were soggy, cold, and stuck together with wax paper that was a pain to separate. The salsa verde enchiladas were cold, mushy, and unpleasant. The rice and beans side was cold (a regular theme here), and the rice was partially uncooked (hard). This is a delivery only restaurant that charges 15rmb for delivery?? Plus the food arrives cold. There are way better options in Shanghai for Mexican delivery.

These have to be the best tacos in Shanghai. Chipotle sauce! Shredded red cabbage! Some sort of delicious celery-tasting herb! Tried the shrimp and the chicken varieties so far, but will be ordering my way through the rest of the menu soon. Him indoors had a couple of enchiladas and a half order of nachos, and was equally impressed.

It's like my prayers have been answered....from my last review..."it's a shame because I think Shanghai does need a decent Mexican place people go to because they like it, not because it's there...."
WELL!
In my small town in the UK, we're not big on Mexican food. We don't even have a restaurant dedicated to it, you gotta go to the next town over for that, so I'm not exactly the authority on the cuisine.
BUT! I know what my ever increasing in size tummy likes. And it likes Taco Mama's.
I got fed up of ordering from a certain well known Mexican place (just see my last review) so when i saw a Mexican place on Mealbay it stopped me in my tracks from ordering from my usual Alexander Pizza Fabrica.
As it's delievery only i've given it a well balanced 3 for service and decor....i can't comment on either naturally. But i can comment on the food.
I had the ground beef tacos, and they were delicious. Generous with the filling and with a choice of salsas it was very reasonable priced at two for thirty something kuai. I really recommend them - you could actually taste the beef and then the spices.
My flatmate had a prawn (that's a shrimp to anyone not down with the Queen) burrito and it went down in one gulp. All i got was a thumbs up! We also ordered nachos and guacamole and salsa. Both were fresh, especially the guac and even though it was a bit chunky to what i'm used too, it was really good, and again a good sized portion to how many nachos you got.
Best part is the alcohol - we ordered Sol beer for only 15 kuai and i spied margaritas on the menu.
It was just nom nom nom and not gui gui gui.
