Bocuse is from my hometown and a very famous chef!
So, I got to talk to one of their interns a couple of weeks ago who recommended their Sunday Brunch and I thought I would give it a try...
First off, we were served 4 mini salmon slices which were not tasty and some so called gambas that I would actually called small shrimps on a glass. (6 of them)
Cold cuts were just ham, some terrine and pate and foie gras which was very good!
Then comes the main dishes: uncooked fish and very bloody lamb that I actually had a hard time cut with the knife. Was told it was in orange sauce but the fruit flavor was lost in the middle.
Chicken(3 pieces) was served with bones in extremely small casseroles... that was just average! Ratatouille, fries and puree seriously nothing special.
The dessert part was very good in presentation a bit too sweet but pretty nice for Shanghai!
Were pushing a bit too hard on drinks and wine which is a pity really!
In the end it was an average experience a bit noisy we were on the terrasse but that was our choice so I guess nothing to complain about.
Service was not really up to standard : taking away your glass when you are not finished, scraping oily piece of meat and made a mess on the table clothes... But they tried hard so it was okay in the end.
The decor is very nice and I guess a la carte might be a bit more exciting!
A bit pricey for that we got though!
