The focus at Matto is wood-fire oven Neapolitan style pizzas. they take their pizza pretty seriously in Naples. There is even a regulatory organization that looks at the ingredients, the oven, event the diameter of the pizzas. Matto is certified -- you'll see the placard displayed near the kitchen -- so this is probably about as authentic a product as you can get in Shanghai. The menu features 18 different pies as well as Neapolitan pizza fritta, or fried pizza. Additionally, there is a broad selection of antipasti, pastas and mains. All are prepared with an emphasis on fresh, imported ingredients. Additionally, there is a list of unique and very reasonably priced cocktails.
