Upscale Shanghainese food for upscale people. They have a particularly good reputation for the red-braised pork belly -- hongshao rou -- a stone-cold Shanghainese classic. The rest is, frankly, mediocre.

Cannot believe the Smart Shanghai review saying that everything bar the hongshaorou is mediocre... coming from an expert in Shanghainese cuisine? Me thinks not. This is simply the best service, the best Shanghainese food in the nicest environment in Puxi. Forget the hype of Jesse or the pretension of Lynn. The hongshaorou is great but all the dishes are Shanghainese classics. If anyone knows better I'd be happy to hear.
