Lao Beijing is a grand old Peking duck restaurant. The dining room is large, the hostesses are tarted up in costume, and the place smells of wood smoke. This location, down near the Bund, is great for tourists staying at the Westin and people looking for dinner before heading out on the Bund, but bear in mind that while business is booming early on in the evening, the whole operation slows down dramatically around 9pm. For our money, Lao Beijing's crisp ducks are better than hyped chain Quanjude.
