Shanghai Alleycat Returns in October
By Morgan Short, Aug 27th, 2010 | In Activities
Organized by your friends at Peoplesbike.com, the Shanghai Alleycat race is ON for October 15 and 16.
What is Alleycat. As opposed to a distance race, Alleycat is checkpoint-based bike race, and riders can knock off these checkpoints in any order they like. Alleycat races are pretty popular all over the world -- usually associated with fixed gear bike enthusiasts -- and Shanghai hosted it's first Alleycat last year.
Here's an old interview from last year with one of the organizers, Tyler Bowa. If you're looking for more details, check that out. Imagine the same thing but bigger, better, faster, more.
Bookmark that peoplesbike.com link, and check back for more details in oh I dunno... Septemberish.
Peoplesbike is also currently looking for corporate sponsorship for Shanghai Alleycat, so if your a decision maker at some youth-orientated, paradigm-shifting, create-o-vative, boutique-gacy, hit them up at their webpage contact.
