Here's some more Expo run-off. Florida two-piece Black Violin will be performing this Thursday at Mao Livehouse.
Not your run-of-the-mill classical music recital, Black Violin is two classical-trained violinists who combine their academic background in classical music (Shostakovich and Bach) with jazz, funk, and hip hop. Winners of the 2005 Apollo Legends title, they're in town at the Expo, but doing a special show closer to where you are (probably) at Mao Livehouse on Thursday. Cover is 50rmb. Starts 9pm.
