Post Rock Invasion

More music stuff.
Here's two good lookin' shows coming up in the realm of post rock -- that modern rock. Big time.
Sept. 29: Kyte @ Mao Livehouse
Kyte are coming in to play the Midi Festival in Zhenjiang, but they're also tagging on a show at Mao Livehouse. Originally from the UK, Kyte get compared to people like Postal Service and Sigur Rós, so if you like it introspective... "lush sonic landscapes" and whatnot... check that out. Local "space rock" (really?) group ANN are opening. Pre-sales are 120rmb (vs. 150rmb at the door), and they'll be available on SmartTicket shortly.
Oct. 24: toe @ Mao Livehouse
If you got down with Japanese post rock band MONO when they came to Shanghai last year, make sure you don't miss toe, another mainstay Japanese indie / post rock dealing in epic instrumental swells, math beats, and cataclysmic explosions. toe is playing for the first time in Shanghai at the end of October on Sunday night.
