China West Shuts Down

By Alexander Weng, Jan 7th, 2009 | In Dining

The tumultous year that was China in 2008 has claimed another victim: concert promoters China West will be closing their operations, bowing out of the Chinese market for 2009. After five years of putting up international acts in China -- Incubus, The Roots, Kylie Minogue, and Kanye West, among the highlights -- the concert promoters were "unable to maintain a profitable bottom line."

SmartShanghai wishes Steve and the rest of the team the best of luck in their future projects.
