Shanghai Weeps: Bonbon Closes

Perhaps you noticed over the long weekend: Bonbon, one of Shanghai's biggest big-time clubs, has closed its doors for good.

Although club management has yet to release a formal statement regarding the closure, SmSh has an undercover mole deep within the organization (read: some dude told us in bar), who elucidates that the club has closed to sort out some internal restructuring at the ownership level, and will be moving locations.

It's been a long and storied three years for Bonbon on Huahai Lu, and as one of the top talent bookers in the city (they've got A-Track coming in May, for God's sake), SmSh wishes them a speedy relocation.

Seriously. We love you Bonbon. Come back. All is forgiven. Bring Coolio again! Or Ma$e!

Someone bring Ma$e. I bet he's dirt cheap.

i thought it was closed like 6 month ago, when they stopped those annoying infomercials in Shanghai Daily. RIP

I haven't been this upset since E.R finished. Have tried to give it a good send off, typing through the tears http://ispyshanghai.com/2009/04/10/bonbon-a-tribute/
