Photo Exhibition: Fleeting Moments
By Morgan Short, Jul 6th, 2009 | In Art
Hey, go see locally-based photog Tim Franco's photo exhibition, "Fleeting Moments" currently on at the Origin restaurant in Taikang Lu. Based in Shanghai for a few years now, Tim usually focuses on underground music in Shanghai and China (see his galleries here and here and here), and last year he published a photo book of his best work (read an interview with Tim about his photo book here).
For his solo show, Tim expands his subject beyond live music, and concerns himself with the manipulation of light and time in classic photography, utilizing a hand-made wooden pinhole camera. Here is a link with information on the old time-y camera Tim used for this exhibition. Pretty neat.
Anyways, "Fleeting Moments" opened last night and runs until August 15, so head on down and check it out. Get a glass of wine and mosey around.
