With the yearly Modern Sky Festival only a week or two away, rumors are swirling, swirling, swirling of yet another Modern Sky Festival planned to occur right on the heels of that main one that runs from October 4 to October 7.

This second festival is variously billed on the English interwebs as the "Modern Sky Electronic Music Festival" or the "Zoo Festival", and is tentatively scheduled to take place in mid-to-late October. With a concentrations on the blips and bleeps genres, amongst the rumoured international acts are The Death Set, Drop the Lime, DJ Spooky, as well as China-based talent, Pet Conspiracy, Sulumi, and the STD kids. That one's still in the rumor mill though, but if it gets the green light, the folks at Modern Sky are giving you not one but two reasons to hit up the capital this October. Fingers crossed. Here's The Death Set on the MySpace. Get acquainted.

Information on the already confirmed Modern Sky Festival -- main stage acts including Buzzcocks, Shonen Knife, British Sea Power, and more -- is at the festival main page right here.

But someone get on getting The Death Set to Shanghai if that whole thing pans out -- maybe right here or something.
