Franck, of Franck, is opening a new bar. It will not be French at all. Open late Dec, early Jan. Name: Ferg & Sons.

He writes:

"It's a retro bar-snack, old-school NYC style, with no tables and only a horseshoe bar.

We'll focus on quality drinks and gourmet snack food (there's a new Japanese chef in town joining us).

Four draft beers, Brooklyn Brown, and some Belgium beers, wide sake selection, soda, etc... Five wines by the glass, opening from 11am to 1am (2am on the weekends), brunch on Saturday, closed on Sunday & Monday."

Ferg & Sons will be right next to the bistro, at 374 Wukang Lu. Good stuff.

What the hell is an old-school New York-style snack bar? Is your Japanese chef serving chocolate egg creams?
