Local, int'l rock promoters Split Works have a big May schedule lined up for Shanghai -- a little bit of everything. Here's what's on so far. Click on the name to be redirected to the MySpace page of the band, the second link is the event listing.
May 3: The Inspector Cluzo @ Yuyintang
A French "funk 'n' roll" duo from... France. In to Shanghai after playing the Strawberry Festival in Beijing.
May 7: Throw Me the Statue @ LOgO
Secretly Canadian-signed, good-time indie pop rock from Seattle. Bloggerific.
May 8: Boy 8-bit @ Dada
Signed to Diplo's Mad Decent label, the South London club DJ remixes everyone from La Roux to Chromeo to Mika. Doesn't play 8 bit.
May 14: Hanggai + Song Yuzhe @ Mao Livehouse
Baijiu-soaked Mongolian traditionalists in to Shanghai for the three-peat for Split Works.
