Gorillaz' Real-Life 'Spirit House' Is Coming to Shanghai
By May 18, 2017 Arts
Virtual band Gorillaz is back on the scene (virtual scene) with a new album called Humanz. As part of their worldwide release for that, in select cities around the world they've constructed elaborate pop-up video installation spaces called "Spirit House". Created with home audio technologists Sonos, the video and sound art installation series is a way for fans to "step into their virtual world". (Tron?) 'Spirit House' is on a world tour right now, having already completed runs in New York, Amsterdam, and Berlin, with a scheduled Shanghai stop May 31 to June 4. Here's what it looks like. The Shanghai event is slated to be free (with an RSVP). More details on that when we get them. Looks pretty neat though.
