On weekdays, Yasmine's Steakhouse offer a 39rmb lunch deal. It's cheap. It's simple. Plate, fork, mouth. You can choose between burgers, sandwiches, and pastas as mains. Add 10rmb and you can get a soup or a salad. Another 10rmb for a drink. Available from 11am-2pm.
If you drop 100rmb average per person at LL, you'll get free flow beer from the featured keg of the night from 8.30pm-midnight. You have to ask for it – they really don't push it. If it gets busy, it might run out, so probably a good idea to get there early if you're going for this deal. Resident DJ Caution plays hip hop and funk throughout the night. Good vibes, and can be very busy, especially around 9pm. Goes from 8.30pm to close. Read about our experience testing out the deal.
Blarney Stone, the Irish bar that somehow made it through the great Yongkang Lu shutdown of '16, offers their butter chicken curry for 50rmb on Mondays. It's not what you'd get at one of the Indian spots around town but it comes in a black pot with some rice, some naan-ish bread. Decent. Sadly no drink included. The deal is available all day.
Every Tuesday, Pizza Street on Ao'men lets you choose any two pies for 120rmb out the door. That's pretty good value whichever way you cut it, even if it is 20rmb more than it was last year. You and your significant other have already had your oysters and caviar on rose-scented sheets, now you can have a pizza each. No one's judging. Delivery in the Jing'an / Putuo / Zhabei area will cost you an extra 20rmb. You can also just pick the pizzas up and save the dough. Anyway, solid deal. More about it in our article.
Sasha's Weekend Brunch is on at the Henghsan Lu mainstay. Outdoor seating and a thrifty continental buffet offer -- 198rmb for all-you-can-eat from 11am to 3pm. That's the most expensive thing on here, for the deal aficionados who like a bit of a risk. (118rmb for kids under one meter.)
