CinnaSwirl and Spread The Bagel Are Now In Cahoots

The bagel engineers at Spread the Bagel and the cinnamon craftsmen behind CinnaSwirl have joined forces and created a carbohydrate utopia in the CinnaSwirl location on Yuyuan Dong Lu. It's just called Spread The Bagel x CinnaSwirl. Our cholesterol levels cry out in fear.

If you missed the story, Spread the Bagel closed down last summer along with most of that stretch of Nanchang Lu. Shortly thereafter, it popped up around the corner at Al's Diner. That is still operating.

Here, they're serving familiar offerings: the Tobiko Salmon on a squid ink bagel for 75rmb is the priciest bagel, while the cheapest is the standard cream cheese for 26rmb. Ones in between include a breakfast bagel stuffed with bacon, egg and cheese for 45rmb, the classic lox and cream cheese with capers and red onion for 60rmb, and the Tribeca Trifecta, stuffed with smoked ham, turkey, polish sausage, olive peppers, red onion, arugula and loads of sauce.

Over on the CinnaSwirl side of things, they're still making their classic, classic walnut, cinnamon raisin, caramel apple, caramel pecan rolls, and the SmartShanghai office-approved classic minis. Plus coffee and cinnamon-themed ice cream.

Excellent. Wonderful news. With Co. Cheese next door, residents on Yuyuan Dong Lu no longer need to eat anywhere else.
