Elefante Is Closing This Week
By Feb 13, 2018 Dining
El Willy Group have announced that their Donghu Lu location Elefante will be closing its doors on February 15, after five years of Mediterranean cuisine courtesy of Willy Trullas Moreno. Their management contract is apparently up, and the space will be wholly taken over by el Willy's partners on Elefante, Fulu Group (also behind Sushi Oyama and Anthologia) in March. Full presser after the jump.

For the last 5 years, Elefante Restaurant has proudly served the Shanghai community, providing memorable meals in a family-friendly atmosphere. Now, as our management contract expires, it is with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of Elefante Restaurant, effective February 15th.

During the month of March, Elefante premises will be taken over by the Fulu group (owners of Oyama and other successful Japanese venues) and they will open a new restaurant project there, which will no longer have any link with El Willy Fun F&B group.

To continue enjoying our Spanish and fun cuisine from El Willy Group, you can find us after Chinese New Year holidays at our flagship EL WILLY restaurant on the Bund, which has just gone through very sexy renovations! Or you can also head for a tapas festival to TOMATITO Restaurant&Bar in Jing’An area.

We would like to thank you for all your past patronage at Elefante and we are looking forward to welcoming you soon at both El Willy and Tomatito restaurants for more good times!!
