F&B Crumbs: Mucho Wulumuqi, Mall Stuff, Burgers and Ice-Cream
By Oct 11, 2018 Dining
Sometimes the city just has these little bits and pieces of news from the F&B world that you want to know but don’t belong anywhere. They are F&B crumbs. We’ve cleared the table and wadded them up for you. Fair amount happening on Wulumuqi Lu; new Swiss Butchery and WAWY, and Bonus steps up a bonus location, there's a new burger and pancake spot called Stack, some stuff in malls... Plus, closings; 45 Degrees and Bordertown. Eat up.

Bustling Wulumuqi Lu continues to bustle. Swiss Butchery has opened up, and WAWY coffee shop is opening in the old Cafe Montmartre space. In the little courtyard directly behind that, we've got a new DAGA! It's bite-sized but the courtyard is lovely, get the most of it while the weather teeters.

Oh and that ice cream shop next to Avocado Lady, Bonus has expanded, opening a new spot a couple of blocks over. Meanwhile, just around the corner from that, Beijing coffee favorite Metal Hands has opened on Nanchang Lu, bringing chill Northern vibes. Top notch coffee shop, that.

A burger and pancakes spot is opening where burger spot Rachel on Wukang Lu. It's called Stack and is unrelated to the original Rachel. It's pricy.

New Saigon Mama and Spice Bazaar opened up in Grand Gateway.

Brand new LuOne mall on Xujiahui Lu is opening with a bunch of restaurants (notably a new Heat).

Popular no-frills Thai spot Qing Mai Heaven on Jinxian Lu has closed down, as has Bordertown and 45 Degrees, which both closed in the last days of September. Evidently business just wasn't going so great at 45 Degrees.
