Happy Ending: A Pop-Up Donut Shop Coming to Shanghai

Since Krispy Kreme shuttered way back when, Shanghai’s pastry-with-a-hole-shaped landscape has been noticeably… plain.

That will change for two nights at the end of the month when three self-described ‘donut dreamers’ come together to make nostalgic donuts late into the night.

On August 31 and September 1, Clara Davis (she is Shanghai Famous, ahem), Andrew Moo and chef Maris Brasil Marotta will team up at the Madison Kitchen storefront on Donghu Lu to make donuts, be hip and serve cocktails. Donuts and drinks. Drinks and donuts. It's called Happy Ending. Mark it down in your glazed calendar.
