Sunday: Farewell Pop-Up Party For Vinh Nguyen of The Grumpy Pig

By Alastair Sloan, Aug 2nd, 2013 | In Dining

Chef Vinh Nguyen of The Grumpy Pig is outta here. He's leaving Shanghai for greener pastures. So some of his chef buddies are throwing a send-off for him at Madison this Sunday.

Brad Turley of Goga and Hai, Sean Jorgensen of Boxing Cat, David Schroeder of Senator, Yao Lu of the The Public, Adam Deverman who also used to run The Public and, of course, Austin Hu of Madison will be providing the refreshment. Each one will prepare a dish or a drink with a name that references a rock band. You know, names like "Crepeful Dead," "Lamb of God," "Leftover Salmon" or "Whiskeytown." Geddit?

Admission is 300rmb at the door. 250 for advance tickets. Admission gets you six vouchers that you can use to buy different snacks and drinks. Lasts from noon to 4pm. Should be boozy good fun.
