Wednesday
While She Sleeps
While She Sleeps, the British metal core band is making a stop in Shanghai on their world tour, promoting their third album ‘You Are We.’ The group formed in 2006, and since their start have been delivering some pretty intense live shows. Critics have drawn comparisons to Slipknot and the Foofighters. This metallic hardcore band has got thick bass tones and lots of screaming. Should be cathartic. Going down the Wednesday at Mao Livehouse, at 8.30pm. Tickets are 180rmb pre-sale.
SOL Dance Company
"Heat and cold, body and soul, games and rules, sale and consumption." Can't tell if that's cause and effect, a list of contrasts, or a concise summary of life from inception to grave. Brought to you by SOL Dance Company and choreographed by Eyal Dadon, Sale's described as a satire of all-consuming consumerism, presented in the form of six diverse dancers. There's a part where they eat a banana. Plus a bit of that pop and lock. Seems like modern dance the way you always envisioned it. They're on Wednesday and Thursday at the Shanghai International Dance Center, tickets from 180rmb to 580rmb.

Friday
SHFT. pres. Malaa
There’ve been some educated guesses that Malaa must DJ Snake, Tchami or Mercer. But they've all been seen playing elsewhere while Malaa's been on stage. Could he be a combination of all three? Or a mask taken up as the need arises, like V for Vendetta? Nothing has been confirmed. So the mystery of Malaa lives on. But one thing’s for sure, the popular producer will be playing Arkham Friday night. Presented by SHFT. Malaa will be playing songs off his “Who is Malaa?” #16 mix, as well as his EP entitled ‘Illicit.’ Not to be missed. E-tickets 180rmb presale, doors open at 10pm.
Showtek
Dutch electro dance music duo Sjoer Janssen and Wouter Janssen (they're 80s kids) are the minds and mixers behind Showtek. Starting out more in the straight techno and hardstyle genres back in the early 2000s, they've migrated through EDM and progressive, working with the big names like David Guetta, Bassjackers, Major Lazer, Tiesto and Hardwell, with chart favorites like 'Cannonball,' 'Booyah' and "Bad" with David Guetta. They're on this Friday at Linx, pre-sale tickets are 200rmb.

Saturday
