For your consideration: a couple of big-time bookings at Mao Livehouse
Dim Mak founder / banger enthusiast, Steve Aoki returns to Shanghai, riding an electro house hurricane into Mao Livehouse on November 4
to pour vodka and / or champagne into your shutter-shaded face. It's how he rolls. It's how he do. Aoki, you will recall, is the source of plenty of dance floor smashing remixes and collabs too numerous to detail herein. Here's his website
for all the latest on Aoki. He's hosted in town by The M and pre-sale tickets are pegged at 150rmb, available at SmartTicket later on-ish. 200rmb at the door.
This one is not super duper confirmed yet -- still waiting for the press release -- but it's basically on so we'll go ahead and tell you about it. Mogwai, the genre defining post rock band of myth and legend, performs in Shanghai for the very first time on November 28. That's a big deal. Like it ebbs and swells, like flights of angels and then... BOOOM. BIG DEAL. We'll have more specifics next week, but for now here's Mogwai fearing Satan
In that vid, it's at 8:27. Ka pow. Post rock hadouken.
