D10 Departure Lounge Grounded Until Further Notice
By Morgan Short, Jan 5th, 2012 | In Nightlife
Too many... airplane puns... can't... fight... it.
Ladies and gentlemen, we regret to inform you that the airplane-themed bar in Da Tong Mill, D10 Departure Lounge, will be facing permanent delays to their activities due to some on-going disputes with the properties managers at the complex.
This is your captain speaking:
"The Departure Group, a team of pioneering entrepreneurs, will have to delay any events at the Departure 10 Ultra Lounge (D10) due to legal action taken against Datong Mill (the underground development at 158 Julu Road), and it's utilities being discontinued. As most Shanghai expats and locals are aware, D10 has worked through the challenges and reputation of this location in anticipation of the opening and development of the area throughout 2010 and 2011.
We would like to thank our loyal customers from all over the globe, who continue to support the Departure Group and its projects. A new location will be announced soon, and please stay tuned for upcoming events and information."
All jokes aside, nice dudes. We wish them the best of luck in finding a new place and their future endeavors, airplane-themed or non.

Sounds like this "team of pioneering entrepreneurs" would have done better to embrace "the challenges and reputation of this location."Please sign in or register to comment
