Park Hyatt is linking elbows with MVP to host a disco themed party over Lujiazui at the 100 Century Avenue Restaurant on the 91st floor. The ticket includes free-flow tapas, finger food, canapés, champagne Veuve Clicquot and a host of others spirits, all night long, plus free entry before 1.30am to M1NT for the afterparty. Early bird's still available at 900rmb, or 1,500rmb on the door, and, of course, table packages. So many packages.
Pop American Brasserie is hosting a jungle-themed party with free-flow booze to cushion the transition. If you get the presale, or dine at any of Three on the Bund's restaurants, it'll cost you 488rmb, otherwise it's 588rmb on the door. Both tickets include a glass of Perrier Jouët Grand Brut (and free-flow other booze!). Tixxx.
The Peninsula is throwing a tropical party at Sir Elly's. Pretend it's Ibiza! See in the New Year. Latin beatzzzzz. Plus tickets include unlimited canapés, cocktails, selected Champagne and spirits, and free entry to Bar Rouge for the afterparty, after 1.30am. Presale's 888rmb or 1,288rmb on the door. Tickets here.
If you'd prefer to just go straight to Bar Rouge for the countdown, Bar Rouge is getting all dolled up in gold this year. The Phase 1, 250rmb presale has already sold-out, but Phase 2, for 300rmb, is available now. Or else it's 500rmb or on the door. All tickets include a glass of Moët & Chandon. The doors open at 8pm. Tickets.
Oooh. The McKinnon Hotel, home of the acclaimed Sleep No More show, is inviting guests to stay after the regular show for something special on December 31. They've released basically zero details, except a name, "A Night of Stars," and a description, "Interactive Cabaret." So coy. So mysterious. Plus, free-flow starts at 10.30pm, after the show. Tickets here (includes entrance to the regular immersive theater experience).
Finally, if you're not into the thumping club scenes (or whatever Punchdrunk counts as), the Strauss Capelle Vienna, renowned for their Galac Concerts and New Year's programs, are performing in China. On December 31 and January 1 at the Shanghai Concert Hall, they're performing mostly Strauss (naturally), but also a handful of Lehar, Sieczynski, and finishing out with "Yangtse River." Tickets for their show at 10.30pm still available right here.
