If you're into smooth-ass Japanese jazz/house crossover, this sounds pretty alright. This guy Shuya Okino from Kyoto Jazz Massive, who are playing a live set at JZ Festival, is DJing at Unico on Friday night. This is about as good as lounge music can get, folks.

Kyoto Jazz Massive is a huge name in the jazz/crossover world, with much love from Giles Peterson on BBC Radio 1 and releases on the German label Compost Records. Their EP/LP tracks sound like an expensive hotel lounge in Tokyo. I can imagine their live sets rocking a lot harder. They play with a full band and vocalists for those. Friday night is a stripped down version, with Shuya Okino DJing with Quentin dropping Sax notes on top, plus support from Ben Huang. Entry is free. Details here.
