As if the Italians didn't already have enough to boast about, what with their Renaissance art, philandering politicians and trendy organized crime, this weekend they also get free entry to the Mike Simonetti show at KTV.

The first 50 Italians who arrive at DingDongDisco's club on Friday night waving their passports will get in for nothing, and get to spend the rest of the night making inscrutable hand gestures to one another while the other nationalities look on forlornly. Doors open 10pm, KTV fills up kind of late, so non-Italians will probably want to wander down around midnight.

Truly a huge weekend coming up for music in Shanghai. Apart from the Simonetti show, we have Thee Oh Sees at 390 on Friday, Sven Vath at M2 on Saturday and Madlib playing the Shelter on the same night. Man-up and hit all that shit.
