Then on Saturday night, they’ve got a showcase tribute show to a comedian that formerly performed at their club, Aaron Ayotte, who sadly passed away at the young age of 29 a few weeks ago. Proceeds from the night will go to his family.
"We’re going to show some of his reels that we recorded,” says Masse's owner, Pauly. “[We'll] tell stories about him. It’s going to be really funny and a roller coaster ride of emotions. Everyone loved the guy."
On Sunday, improv group Zmack performs another unscripted, off-the-cuff show at 6.30pm and afterwards, Masse runs it’s last Sunday open mic night at 8.30pm.
Pauly is already looking at several venues for their next location.
"In a couple week’s we’ll have a new space. [In the meantime] we’re going to doing open mics in different places and keeping the comedy alive."
