This Month In Comedy: Shanghai Improv Festival, Sam Tripoli, Vladimir Caamaño, and Punchline
By Nov 1, 2016 Nightlife
It seems like every comedy promoter is swinging for the fences this month. The big one is the Shanghai Improv Festival put on by local improv group Zmack. The festival has improv teams coming in from Australia, France, Germany, the US, the Philippines, Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, and more. The shows run from today, November 1, to Sunday. Proceeds go to the Library Project. Even more after the jump...

On Wednesday, the Shanghai Comedy Club brings Sam Tripoli to the stage at The Camel Pudong. He's appeared on the Joe Rogan Experience, CBS, Showtime, and Comedy Central. You can get a taste of his style here on YouTube.

Then, a couple weeks later, Kung Fu Komedy Club brings in international headliner Vladimir Caamaño, who's a regular in the New York Comedy Scene. You can see some of his material here on Youtube. He performs on November 18 and November 19.

Finally, at the end of the month, Punchline Comedy Club has three shows around town with three UK performers -- Barry Castagnola, Andrew Stanley, and Mark Nelson. That runs November 24 and November 25. You can grab tickets for the shows on our new ticketing site,
