This Sounds Aight: DrunkPixel @ The Shelter
By Jul 6, 2012 Nightlife
Something different. Something bizarre. Something a little bit nerdy. If you're looking for something to do tonight, try this one on for size. Local VJ druid Olive Pixel is installing an "'80s broadcast switcher, chroma keyer, mixer, and colour corrector" and bringing in loads of VHS tapes for an analogue visuals set down at The Shelter.

Translation: giants hunks of archaic video tape player shit, playing odd ball VHS tapes. It looks like this.

So, I dunno, for me that's a pretty interesting way to spend a Friday. Maybe you too, yes?

That's tonight at The Shelter and Olive Pixels is with DJ Drunk Monk, who is doing seven hours of vinyl records to the video stuff, along with guest musician Theo Crocker. Pretty neat. Starts 10pm. 30rmb cover.
