This Wednesday: Shanghai Photographers Night
By Morgan Short, Oct 11th, 2011 | In Nightlife
Local photog Tim Franco hosts another installment of his "Shanghai Photographers Night" this Wednesday at Dada. On the big (recalibrated) screen this month is new work from Chad Ingraham (showing a "Women at Home" series, comprised of Chinese women in their homes in Shanghai, Shenyang, and Chongqing), Eric Leleu (documenting the closure of 696 Weihai), Lei Gong (portraits at Burning Man festival), Patrick Wack (portraiture), and Matthieu Belin (fashion).
If you're new to Shanghai, Shanghai Photographers Night is a great look into the local photography scene -- meet other photographers and see what they're up to.
Shanghai Photographers Night starts at 8pm and ends at midnight-ish. They cycle through the photography a couple of times on the night, with the last cycle ending around midnight. It can get crowded so if you're looking to catch the first cycle or two, go a bit early for a seat. No entry fee.
