This week, Jazz at the Lincoln Center Shanghai explores the swing jazz rhythms from USA, Cuba, and Africa. Owens’s signature straight-away playing style, coupled with his unique manipulation of percussive shape and texture, has earned him positions in some of the most successful jazz ensembles of the 21st century. His performance catalog includes collaborations with Wynton Marsalis, Kurt Elling, Dianne Shuur, Renee Fleming and Mulgrew Miller, just to name a few. Zhang Yi Conducts Debussy

Influential young conductor Zhang Yi presents the works of French impressionist composer Debussy, highlighting his colorful picturesque pieces, painted in notes. Foster the People Live in Shanghai

LA indie pop band Foster the People’s song "Pumped Up Kicks" became a viral success in 2010 and the group received a record deal, and gained a fanbase through small club shows and appearances at music festivals. After releasing their debut album “Torches” in May 2011, "Pumped Up Kicks" became a crossover hit on commercial radio in mid-2011 and eventually reached number three on the Billboard Hot 100. The band has since followed up with critical and commercial hit records, culminating in their latest, Sacred Hearts Club. Feel-good indie pop for the masses from this American mainstay. Imagine Dragons 'Evolve' 2017 World Tour
